Michigan Geography!
We are starting a new social studies unit using the five themes of geography (movement, region, human-environment interaction, location, and place) to learn about Michigan. This unit will last about four weeks and will be able to discover unique details and answer questions about Michigan under the guise of geographers.
Below you will find links to numerous websites to explore and expand your knowledge on Michigan geography. There are also different activities that you can print and work on to guide your study. Feel free to complete some of these activities and turn them in for your Homefun! |
Michigan Symbols Information!
In class we are each researching our own state symbols and creating iMovie advertisements to provide information about them. Below are some links with information on some of the symbols. Going to kidrex.org and typing in the symbol you are interested in learning more about will also provide you with great websites and resources. If you would like to do more research on different symbols at home, the document used to guide our class research has been uploaded below as well.
